Evelyn "Eve" Morrissey
age: 154
species: bobcat
identity: she/her + straight

Eve Morrissey was once the radiant daughter of a wealthy English family, raised among silk drapes, whispered etiquette, and gilded expectations. She was known for her sharp wit and adventurous spirit, both traits that often set her apart from the posh world she was born into. Despite suitors and social obligations, she fell for a quiet, melancholic doctor named Adam Nocturne, drawn to the sadness in his eyes and the kindness in his silences. They married in secret, against her family's wishes, and for a time, lived in a fragile happiness.

But when a fatal lung disease began to wither her from the inside out, Eve's body betrayed her with every breath. As she faded in their candlelit bedroom, Adam, jobless, desperate and grieving, revealed the truth he had kept buried for years: he was a vampire. And he could save her, if she let him. Eve, terrified but unwilling to die, accepted. The transformation was violent, confusing, and left her changed in every sense.

Immortality did not sit easily on her shoulders at first. She mourned her old life, her family, and the future she had once imagined. But over the decades, Eve grew into something otherworldly. Where Adam became restrained and reclusive, she became unbound. Restless, daring, and drawn to the everchanging world. She travels constantly, seeking sensation, culture, and chaos, always returning to Adam in fleeting moments, like a comet to its orbit. Her love for him remains, deep and eternal, but she refuses to live in his shadows. While Adam hides from the world, Eve insists on devouring it.

Webmaster's Notes

Eve! Making her character was honestly such a breath of fresh air for me.
The main inspiration for her design is Mitzi May from Lackadaisy, giving her a spark of that 20s-30s flair. A stark contrast to her husbands modern grunginess.
Similar to Adam, she began as an Expy of a character of the same name from Only Lovers Left Alive (2013). Despite this, she quickly became her own character, picking up features and personality traits from other medias I consume. I personally compare it to flower picking.. but with character development
